I have been a customer of Cable America since 1992, they were not the best, but pertty good. They were recently bought out by Sparklight and service really started going bad since. For the last week, the internet has gone out daily for four to eight hours each day. Customer support is no help, they reply with "you have a problem, we can have a service tech come by in about four weeks!" Stay away from this company, you will not have a good experience!!!

Sparklight, is a way to hide the sorry Hargray services. The name has changed but the service is still the same. I've had their tech come to my home and use zip ties on my outside relay box, when it rained the wires would get wet. causing the crackling sound on the phone. The excuse was " the box was not outdated." and they didn't have a replacement. I have free standing wires in my home now, when they changed out the lines from one room to another, they left exposed wires. They say it was okay. If I could add pictures you could see it for yourself. We were without service at one time three and four days at time on several occasions, they credited me less than two dollars for the inconvenience. I have had other issues with them but it would take me forever to write it all. The services are horrible. When I have to call in and speak to someone, I have an attitude because of the services down thru the years, I don't trust anything they say. But I have to deal with them for now.

Terrible service. Down multiple times a week across most of the state. I am moving my home and work accounts from them to volt as soon as its available.

I called to cancel Sparklight TV after they made it via internet instead of cable as it had been. They refused to cancel until I returned the modem. I am 76, live 75 miles from their office, and cannot drive long distances. THEY brought the modem—I did NOT want it nor had I requested it. Their technician: "All our customers must have this to continue our service. You'll LOVE it! It'll be GREAT!" The new remote had NO numbers. My wife went nuts..almost ended a 55-year marriage. It took 2 months to find someone else to drive me to return the modem. Sparklight kept billing me after I'd requested cancellation of the service. I had disconnected it when I called them. They billed me for the 2 months I had cancelled—and I paid because I don't want my credit dinged. IT'S THEIR WAY OR NO WAY! (BTW: I never signed up with them. I'd purchased cable TV in 1996. By 2023 our service was purchased by different companies 4 times, the last being Sparklight. I didn't choose them; they chose me..and that was to my destriment.)

I like the company is local and not a big chain company. I would prefer they not have so many outages in our area.

Currently i am very satisfied with Sparklight. I would not mind i price drop and a faster speed. I always want better.
