UTOPIA Overview and Availability
About UTOPIA Internet
Utopia: a place where you aren't limited by bandwidth caps, slow Internet, or dropped Wi-Fi connections. Luckily, UTOPIA makes that available to customers in the Utah area. UTOPIA currently serves or is working on connecting 15 cities throughout Utah, with growth planned for coming years.
The idea behind UTOPIA is a bit different from most other Internet service providers. In fact, UTOPIA isn't actually an Internet service provider. It's an open access network. They build fiber-optic infrastructures in member cities. Customers get a dedicated line into their home. Internet service providers use that line to deliver television, phone, and Internet services to your home.
UTOPIA maintains a list of Internet service providers that use their lines for customer services. Some of the ISPs that this company works with include Fibernet, Beehive Broadband, SenaWave, InfoWest, Sumo, and VeraCity Networks. They do maintain a list of pricing options and packages on their website, making it easy to compare options that work with your UTOPIA fiber-optic line. The most basic Internet package listed is 100 Mbps, ranging up to 1 Gbps. Internet packages range from $34.95 to $65 per month. Phone packages start at $5 per month and go up to $27.98 per month. With all of the companies providing television service, there are many options to consider. Basic packages cost as little as $19.95 per month and top-tier packages cost as much as $131.99 per month.
Business packages are also available through UTOPIA. Each business customer gets a dedicated line with speeds up to 10Gbps.
UTOPIA offers business and residential customers many benefits. You don't have to deal with slower speeds through shared lines, you get access to cutting edge technology, and you get the freedom to choose your own ISP. Find out if this company serves your Utah city.
