Rise Broadband

Worst company ever - when it works, takes 2 and a half hours to watch a 45 minute program. Usually out, can't get a person on their automated system once it knows who and where you are. Canceled in October - still waiting for a refund - they say they have to get their equipment back first, but they can't tell me when someone is coming. I am 89 and believe they are taking advantage of a senior. Do not waste your time, money or breath on this company!

Horrible customer service. Depending on who you get is the story you get conflicting information provided by two different customer service reps. Trying to return old boxes 15 year old DirecTV boxes. First representative said go online and pull out the shipping labels put them on the boxes and send it back. When online nowhere to pull the shipping label unless you have received an envelope from Directv. Called again, the second rep. said oh no, you just need to drop them off and then when I asked her for the nearest AT&T store because I don't have AT&T Wireless I have no idea where their locations are she told me to Google it. New service, upgrade is horrible, the screens buffer, can see the guide, font is way too small. Can't checkmark a show for later to automatically come on. Guess need to talk to Dish.

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
