How to start a T-Mobile 5G Home Internet Worry-Free 15 day Test Drive
Let’s get right into it. Both new and existing T-Mobile wireless customers looking to try out T-Mobile’s 5G home internet are eligible for a Worry-Free 15-day Test Drive.
Here’s a quick overview of how the 15-day test drive works:
Step 1: Sign up for an eligible plan.
Step 2: Unbox, set up, and connect your new 5G Gateway as soon as it arrives or when you take it home.
Step 3: Enjoy testing your new T-Mobile 5G internet plan!
If you sign up at one of T-Mobile’s retail stores, your Test Drive starts as soon as T-Mobile activates your account, and you get to take your new 5G Gateway home that same day!
If you opt to sign up online or over the phone, your Test Drive starts the day you receive the notification that your 5G Gateway has shipped.
Regardless of what sign-up method you choose, you’ll want to make sure you set up and connect your 5G Gateway as soon as you get it to get the most out of your Test Drive window.

What happens if you aren’t satisfied with your service
See how well T-Mobile 5G Home Internet works for you—or get your money back. As long as you schedule a cancellation within the first 15 days of activation, you’ll return your equipment and get a one-time bill credit—it’s that simple. Here’s a step-by-step on what you’ll need to do to ensure you get your money back.
Step 1: Contact T-Mobile to cancel within the first 15 days of your Test Drive.
Step 2: Return your equipment within 45 days of cancellation!
Step 3: If you got a Mesh Access Point, it’ll need to be returned in-store.
Step 4: If you are returning equipment by mail, you will receive a prepaid return label. Print, attach, and drop off your return at a UPS store or in the mail.
Step 5: A one-time credit will be applied to zero out your bill*.
You can return your equipment to a T-Mobile retail store or by mail—you’ll just need to decide before starting the return process because it can’t be changed.
If a payment is made before the one-time bill credit goes through, you will be paid out after 30 days via a prepaid card. Either way, you’re getting your money back with plenty of time to return your equipment.
Refund via one-time bill credit; allow 2 bill cycles from completion of offer requirements. Max 1/account. May not be combinable with some offers or discounts.
