DSL provides internet service via phone cables and is up to ten times faster than dial-up service.

Cable:

Cable provides internet speeds faster than DSL through the same cables used for cable TV.

Satellite:

Satellite internet is widely available, but offers slower speeds due to a far-traveling signal.

Fiber:

Fiber relies on glass strands to relay digital code and is much faster than both DSL and cable.

Internet connection is horrible. Customer service is horrible and rude. Company is a con. Paying for no service is wrong. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Run. Find a reputable company and service.

I have had cox in AZ for 3yrs. Signed up 7 months ago for the government assistance program because of their high prices and needed out for work. When I started with cox they have a 1.2gb cap I never went over on. When I got the assistance program ($30 off bill) I somehow went over the cap every month and that is having less items connected. Went from 4 tvs and 4 phones 2 computers. Down to 2 tvs, 2 phones and 1 computer. So how is it I cut my connected items in half and yet my usage goes way up? Cox are crooks. Service is decent but price is high. No other fiber in AZ so I'm stuck for now and not going to a phone company or satellite to get much worse connection speed.

I have been trying to cancel Century Link since Tuesday, October 3. It hasn't even been installed. It is impossible to cancel online or by text or by chat. The only way to cancel is by phone call but it’s not possible to do that either because every number you call (given to you as the one where you can cancel) puts you on hold for at least 30 minutes and then either disconnects you or refers you to a different phone number. I have spent days trying to get a person on the phone who is able or willing to cancel. IT CAN’T BE DONE !!!!! And now I have to cancel my credit card to keep them from charging me every month for service I don't have and don't want.

My experience with CenturyLink has been a nightmare. Every month my bill is higher than I was told it would be. The wifi is so slow and freezes up even if I am right next to the router. I've tried calling but their customer service is awful. I've tried every trouble shooting suggestion on their website with no improvement. I'm calling today to have the service turned off as I refuse to pay them another cent for service that doesn't work, has never worked and likely never will work. I have friends paying way less for great service through another provider so I'm moving on..

The speed is terrible. The sales pitch is say just the opposite. WHY MAKE YOUR EMPLOYEE LIE? Tell the real truth. 'We don't want to upgrade your neighborhood. You folks are just not worth it!????
