Fort Lauderdale Residential Internet Coverage

The coastal city of Fort Lauderdale is a huge tourist, residential, and retail center of Florida. Residents and visitors alike enjoy access to several reliable internet service providers.

Fiber and DSL are available through AT&T, which reaches all of the city with its DSL service. The fiber network is much smaller than the DSL service area, but it is still in development.

High-speed cable service is offered throughout most of the city by Xfinity. Service reaches Imperial Point in the north, Edgewood in the south, Sunset in the west, and Central Beach in the east. The network stops short of Dorsey and Riverbend.

High-speed fiber is an option through FPL FiberNet. The FPL FiberNet network runs from Coral Ridge Isles in the north to Poinciana Park in the south, and from Lake Aire Palm View in the west to Lauderdale Beach in the east.

Through Megapath, high-speed internet access is accessible in every Fort Lauderdale neighborhood.

I have to reboot the router every day ,sometimes three times a day. And they want to charge me to send a technician out because as long as rebooting fixes it that is expectable.

I hadn’t even had service 3 days before they had charged me twice. I had absolutely no information on the company cause AT&T hooked me up originally. I still have all the equipment but haven’t used it in almost a year.

Comcast is the worst. The connection is slow and often drops. Customer Service is even worse. I had a guy come to fix the problem, got charge a lot although comcast offered to send him to keep me as customer but he didn't fix it and didn't know what he was doing. Told me wrong things. nothing good to say about comcast except that it's nice to use xfinitywifi. unfortunately there are no real alternatives.
