Albuquerque Residential Internet Coverage

Albuquerque, the urban hub of New Mexico, enjoys service from many reliable internet service companies. Those who want cutting-edge fiber technology often choose Centurylink Prism, which currently reaches central and northwestern areas like Se Heights, Nob Hill, Summit Park, Paradise Hills, and Volcano Cliffs. Through the CenturyLink DSL network, almost all of Albuquerque enjoys access to internet service; this excludes the small southwestern neighborhood of Valley Gardens. The Xfinity network is nearly identical.

Customers throughout Albuquerque enjoy access to the TW Telecom network, although service stops before reaching the northeastern areas of Albuquerque Acres, Heritage, and Tanoan. The Zayo Group network reaches central and eastern neighborhoods, from Silver Hill in the central part of the city to Embudo Canyon in the east.

Service through Cyber Mesa Telecom is accessible in Victory Hills, Altura, Snow Heights, and Alameda Valley.

Several central neighborhoods fall into the service area of CityLink Telecommunications, such as Netherwood Park, Sandia Ridge, Highland, and Parkland Hills.

In addition, the entirety of Albuquerque falls into the Megapath service area.

Run, do not walk away. Not worth the time, money or frustration. Help is impossible to find if you call. Not user friendly. Website does not help either. Their troubleshooter will not find your problem. If, by some chance, a miracle occurs and you accidentally happen across an actual human when you call, be prepared for them to push a technician on you, at your expense, on a date that's weeks in the future. Good luck to you if you accidentally get one scheduled and you want to cancel! Easier to remove a claw from a lion as it's chewing on your head! I have never in my life experienced such poor service. And that's what they sell! A service! And they fail. Miserably.

Reasonable, dependable but pray you don’t need to contact them. It is impossible to talk to a person on the phone best you get is to chat. Links don’t work expect to see a lot Sorry something went wrong. Doesn’t recognize passwords or phone number as far as I know they have no storefronts.

The service is usually pretty good, but there have been several times where the service is down and I am unable to connect. It is usually a problem with the DNS server. This is not acceptable because I am a college student and need a more reliable connection. I feel that the DNS server problem happens too much.

They are charging me for 3 months of service I did not use. I wrote a letter and called in telling them to cancel service 4 months ago. They said a letter is not sufficient for cancellation. They do not have a Corporate line! Go ahead and try and google it. THERE IS NOTHING!!!!!!! Good luck if you are considering them!

I haven't had any issues with the internet, but their service center needs improvement. If you make changes on your account, it may take six months to get it correct. We changed from a business line to a regular line thinking it would save money, but it didn't. We have to call monthly to get credit for long distance calls that are supposed to be free nationwide. It is like the reps you talk with on the phone don't have any idea how to do their job. Once our contract is up, we are looking for a new provider.

Live in a small town or suburb outside of Albuquerque? We got you covered, too.

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
