“So recently I upgraded to the New fiber Internet service by BrightSpeed. My service worked for 1 day. After calling and getting them aware of the service, immediately they began troubleshooting and trying to accommodate me for the problem. Although unbeknownst to myself, there was a fiber optic issue. After contacting my technician, he searched and confirmed there was an outage in this rural area. BrightSpeed sent out a new modem and wires for the box, and my technician Kemper xb03395 helped get everything set and programmed all by the time he got off. He definitely went above and beyond to assist and let me know, they stand by their work, equals service.”

Yesterday our modem quit again. Modems seem to last only about 18 months, so we have been through this routine several times in the last 7 years. This time I was told they could not send a new modem, but could send a technician - first available appointment was FOUR WEEKS! After 2 more calls trying to get a supervisor (being on hold almost 2 hours total) I finally got someone who agreed to send a modem then said it would cost $200. We pay for repairs and the modem we have belongs to them, not to us so we have never had to pay for a replacement. She looked at our account again and agreed. Now I am waiting 2-3 business days for them to ship it, and who knows how long the shipping will take since I doubt there are any overnight options. We are looking to see who else provides service in our rural area, but the choices are few.

Worst customer service! They can never help with anything. Canāt send me a link that work to set up an account. Internet always goes out random then a tech needs to come. Always some random excuse that is different each time you talk to a different person. I have never in my life had so many different issues with a service company

I needed a technician to fix my Internet- I made 4 calls to them and they rescheduled a technician 3 times without informing me! Then when I called they tried to say I was the one that rescheduled the service. They go around in circles but never get to a resolution. Just read off a script. Bad customer services. Do not recommend

I didn't think this company was shady, but they are. They raised the price with no warning. Their service isn't that great either unless you like to watch that circle go around. They told me when I signed up they were not going to raise my rate, but they did. When I complained on chat they gave me a 10 dollar discount, but basically said sorry about your luck. They such and I will be switching again. They don't care.

I would not recommend this poor serviced internet to anyone! Very bad services. They continue to have terrible technical issues all the time. Makes me wonder how they are still in business.

I have had CentryLink for a long time they were outstanding! But when the company changed to Brightspeed the internet service went down hill fast! We have had a brightspeed representative come and offer us Fiberoptic service saying it was an upgrade and faster. We have not noticed a difference in speed at all. On top of all of this the Fiber internet doesn't even work half the time because of very frequent outages. We have called several times and spoke with representatives that just tell us there is an outage in your area. When we ask them what the reason is behind all these unfortunate and long period outages they say they do not know but they have their technicians working on it. No real answer was given as to why the internet is always down from these outages. This was never the case with the DSL they used to provide. We have asked the representatives to switch back to DSL to get away from the Fiberoptic joke and the representatives told us that they are not going back to DSL and if we stay with them all they will offer is the Fiber internet. What a joke this company has become. I thoroughly miss Centrylink as they appeared to have a better grip on things. I highly recommend that you check all other companies before considering to get Brightspeed service as you will experience highly frequent outages that will put you behind on work if you work from home as I do. I would not recommend Brightspeed to anyone.

Our internet went out on the 23rd of January. They didn't schedule an appointment with a technician until the 19th of February. That appointment was cancelled due to weather and the follow up appointment was the next day. 4 weeks without internet and they did nothing to help. I couldn't get a person on the phone and the window of time for the appointment was late as well. The technician was very nice and replaced the router. This could have been done earlier if they would have given me a person to talk to but instead, they scheduled an appointment 4 weeks out and fixed something they could have done if only there was a decent customer service department to talk to.

Brightspeed cannot keep the service working, when it goes out it is out for days. Customer service is very poor. Not helpful at all!

By far the worst provider of internet services. Double billing, communication issue i.e. language and comprehension issues, 5 months of overbilling, having to call for 5 month in hopes of correcting the ongoing issues, I could go on... Bottom line find another company. Issues Still NOT resolved !!!
