Verizon offers some of the fastest and most reliable fiber internet out there, and its fixed wireless home internet leads the pack when it comes to download speed and nationwide availability. If that’s not enough to convince you to switch from your old internet provider, would a free TV or VR headset do the trick?
Verizon sure hopes so, and it’s rolling out this sweet deal next month.
If you sign up for certain new home internet plans between March 13 and April 30, you could qualify for either a free 43-inch Class Crystal UHD TV Samsung TV or a free Meta Quest 3S Headset. If you shell out $100 plus tax, you can upgrade to a Samsung 55-inch TV.
The following plans qualify:
Plan | Connection type | Download speeds up to | Price |
---|---|---|---|
LTE Home Plus | Fixed wireless | 50Mbps | $80.00/mo.* |
5G Home Plus | Fixed wireless | 1,000Mbps | $70.00/mo.* |
Fios 1 Gig | Fiber | 940Mbps | $89.99/mo.* |

Consumer data usage is subject to the usage restrictions set forth in Verizon’s terms of service; visit: https://www.verizon.com/support/customer-agreement/ for more information about 5G Home and LTE Home Internet or https://www.verizon.com/about/terms-conditions/verizon-customer-agreement for Fios internet.
Verizon Fios vs. fixed wireless internet availability
The kind of service you can get from Verizon depends on where you live. The company offers 100% fiber internet in the following states:
- Connecticut
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- Vermont
- Virginia
If the place where you live has had Verizon Fios before, you can probably install the service yourself. Otherwise, you’ll need a professional to come out and set up the fiber connection.
Pro tip: Don’t pay for installation
Verizon Fios professional installation costs $99, but you can get the fee waived if you order online
Verizon fixed wireless internet availability
If you don’t live in a fiber area, you may qualify for fixed wireless internet through Verizon’s 5G or 4G LTE wireless networks. It’s only available if there’s extra capacity on the cell phone networks in your area, though, so you will need to enter your exact address with Verizon to see if you can sign up.
If you are eligible, the company will send you a free Wi-Fi gateway that works by connecting to local mobile phone towers. You can set it up yourself within just a few minutes with the help of the Verizon mobile app.
What to expect after you sign up
Verizon doesn’t require contracts, and that’s a refreshing change! However, you can’t claim your deal until you’ve had Verizon internet service for 65 days. Then, you have another 60 days to redeem the offer. If you cancel within 180 days, you may have to repay the cost of your TV or headset.
The process for claiming your TV or headset differs depending on which device you pick. Read your fine print carefully during checkout so you know what to do.
Other deals available from Verizon
If you need new internet service before March 13, you can still get sweet deals from Verizon. You could qualify for free access to Netflix and Max, plus get a gift card of either $100 or $200, depending on your plan.
You can also save $10 per month on a YouTube TV subscription for the first year.
Plus, Verizon is eager to give back to local community servants. You can get an internet plan with speeds up to 300Mbps for just $45 per month if you live in a fiber area and you’re one of the following:
- Nurse
- Teacher
- First responder
- Veteran or active duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces
If you’re a student, you can get $12 off on each line of mobile service and $20 off internet service, plus 50% off if you bundle with mobile.
