Baytown Residential Internet Coverage

Located in the waters of Trinity Bay, Baytown, Texas might have water surrounding it, but it doesn't offer much to residents for internet providers.

Fiber optics internet by Frontier Communication is offered to neighborhoods north of the Harris and Chambers border. This includes northern residents of Beach City and communities in Eldon and those near Garth Road. They advertise download speeds up to 100 Mbps.

Frontier Communications also provides DSL services to most of Baytown residents, with advertised speeds up to 15 Mbps. However, certain communities closer to Trinity Bay, in Beach City and Cove may not have access to this internet service.

Residents from western neighborhoods of Brownville, Wooster and Coady spanning to residents as far east as Eldon all have access to Xfinity by Comcast. This cable internet provider advertises speeds up to 250 Mbps.

However, neighborhoods in Beach City and those neighboring Morgan's Point have access to SuddenLink cable. They advertise speeds up to 1 Gbps for most residents in the area.

SkyNet Communications also offers fixed wireless internet to those in the center of Baytown and to surrounding areas. However, they don't offer service to most areas in Beach City.

I have add Xfinity since 2015 if I am not mistaken. It was good for awhile. But now I get outages that last last for hours. Tiny bit of rain and poof its out. I rarely get credit for any of this. Which I believe affected customers should. And the customer service on the phone is terrible. No one knows anything. Rewards is a joke. Why does Xfinity text customers when the internet is not working? What you text does not work. Nothing Xfinity does works. I wish I knew why I pay so much for very little service most of the time. And I recently found out that when Xfinity says outage to really means. Doing maintenance. I doubt this will do anything to make things better. Cause it's apparent Xfinity doesn't care what so ever about customers.

Purchased fiber optic from frontier less than a month ago and it has been out over 4 times. I work from home and have to pack up all my equipment when my Internet goes out and relocate. Any time I’ve talked to a supervisor they assure me that this doesn’t happen often and it will be back on shortly. LIES ! If I would be notified in a timely manner I could relocate quickly and not get docked at work. But that doesn’t happen either. The updates will say it will be restored by a certain time , it is never that time. Now I am potentially going to loose my job and healthcare bc of them ! I’m so frustrated and there’s nothing I can do about it.

Comcast is usually a pretty good service. I find the speeds are decent, and for the most part I've had very few issues in personal usage of the service. Excepting area wide issues, it's often not anything to be concerned about.
