Love our Viasat, honest installer told us accurately what to expect, and those expectations have been met. Forget VOIP phone via satellite internet. It ain't gonna happen in any acceptable way that will satisfy your definition of telephone service. Our poor service experience with Hughesnet had already taught us that, but hearing such candor from our Viasat installer about voip (on ANY satellite internet dish sucking eggs) was appreciated. Viasat also promised their dish wouldn't work in the rain o heavy clouds. But it usually does work, almost always, regardless of weather. properly set expectations on our part, by the Viasat representative, was the magic. service is reliable with zero surprises in our level of internet service. Rates are at market level or lower, what else can you hope for. We like a satellite internet provider that tells us what turns out to be the perfect truth. Thank you Viasat. Hughesnet constantly provided one negative surprise after another over our two years with that bunch.
