Fort Myers Residential Internet Coverage

The sprawling city of Fort Myers runs near to the coast. Within this large city, there are multiple internet service providers that provide the homes and businesses of Florida with reliable internet.

One of the primary fiber internet providers in Fort Myers is Centurylink Prism, which provides fiber service to nearly all of Fort Myers. However, the neighborhoods of Gateway and Eagle Pointe are not within this company's service area.

The coverage area of CenturyLink is slightly larger, spanning all of Fort Myers and extending into all of the city's surrounding areas.

High-speed cable is available through Xfinity. Through this provider, people as far north as Fort Myers Shores and as far south as San Carlos Park enjoy fast cable service. Service runs from Punta Rassa in the western part of the city to the university neighborhood in the east. Excluded neighborhoods include Owen Avenue and Gateway.

The neighborhoods of Tice, Morse Shores, and Ortiz Avenue are within the growing service area of Summit Broadband.

Through FPL FiberNet, much of Fort Myers can access fiber internet. Service stops short of Fort Myers Shores and Buckingham Road in the east, and certain parts of the university neighborhood are not served by this company.

Just changed carrier from Comcast (HOA decision) and by comparison to speed, complexity, more outages, and lack of phone support, Hotwire is the worst of the two.

Had it for about a month. Internet speed is good, outages have been few, but it's not the rainy season yet. TV is TERRIBLE!! 720 and 1080 is all thats available! Your screwed if you bought that nice new 4K tv! Picture quality SUCKS! If they don't upgrade the video quality, I WILL go back to Comcast!
