East Orange Residential Internet Coverage

With over 64,000 residents, the city of East Orange is one of New Jersey's fastest growing communities. Compare internet service plans offered by local and national companies to find the plans that best suit you.

Fiber optic internet is a popular option in this region. Through Verizon Fios, all of East Orange has high-speed access.

The same is true for cable provider Xfinity. This company's expansive service area extends beyond the city limits in all directions, reaching Springdale in the north, Tremont in the south, Harrison in the west, and Ampere in the east.

One major internet option in East Orange is Optimum. Through this company, the vast majority of the city enjoys high-speed access. This includes areas like Steuben, Oraton, and Sanford.

A handful of neighborhoods have service through Access One. Service reaches some northeastern neighborhoods, like Hoffman and Glenwood. In the central part of the city, Munn and Harrison also have access. Service is limited outside these areas.

Another ISP with some coverage across East Orange is Monmouth Telephone and Telegraph. This company brings internet to central, northeastern, and southeastern parts of East Orange. Central neighborhoods also have service through XO Communications.

Extremely hard to speak to someone alive. It’s almost as if they are hiding from their customers. They make it very easy to upgrade, but it becomes complex when it’s time to downgrade/readjust my service.

I gave Comcast such a low rating in "Pricing" because the cost of maintaining TV, Internet and Telephone is extremely too high for the moderate "Speed" and "Service" we get from them, in our area!!!

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
