Newark Residential Internet Coverage
As the largest city in New Jersey, Newark needs reliable internet service for its residents and businesses.
There is a large fiber network in place that brings Verizon fiber internet to most of Newark. Verizon Fios is available in the eastern neighborhoods of North Ironbound and Central Business District, stretching west to Upper and Lower Vailsburg. Verizon also has a large DSL network that covers the entire city of Newark.
Those who prefer cable internet benefit from the growing network of Xfinity, which is available in the far western neighborhoods of Lower Vailsburg and Upper Vailsburg. Service is available in some southern neighborhoods, including Dayton, Weequahic, and Clinton Hill.
The neighborhoods of University Heights, Springfield, and Clinton hill are in the Xchange Telecom network.
North Ironbound, Central Business District, and Mount Pleasant have coverage through Level 3 Communications.
Monmouth Telephone and Telegraph offers fiber service to Central Business District, Belmont, and Roseville. Access One has a similar service area, but it also serves the southern neighborhoods of Dayton and Weequahic.
TW Telecom has a network that covers the Newark Liberty International Airport area. This area is also served by NetCarrier Telecom, which brings coverage to Clinton Hill and South Broad Street.
As if these options weren_t plentiful enough, almost all of Newark can access high-speed internet via the provider Optimum. Additionally, through XO Communications, much of central and eastern Newark has high-speed internet access as well.
