Xfinity has been reliable in the past. Over the last six months, our Internet speeds have decreased, and our outages have increased compared to other providers. They’re more expensive and I’m currently looking for a new provider.

We had their internet service for several years and as time went on their service became weaker and weaker. Sometimes their internet speed was really poor, so poor that we couldn’t get certain programs to even load. This past fall new internet was installed in our home by Mulberry communications. Their internet service is awesome and we couldn’t be happier. We have so much more speed and power. We have been waiting for over three months to get money back from Watch Communications. They owe us for over payment and are dragging their feet to return our money. I would highly recommend Mulberry Communications!

Speeds in Lafayette are 18mb if they tell you anything else they are liars! They have zero plans on making it faster here either per customer service. They have issuses with communications with their staff, I have had 3 techs come out before the 3rd one finally fixed what the first 2 messed up. She had to go to the building behing Jiffy lube to fix it... I called over 10x in a 2 week period. They have zero local office the closest one is in Illinois. I record everyhing because people are such liars! Anyone needs receipts I got them. Just like anything else take the good with the bad. If, their prices go up even a dollar I am just going to comcast.

Live in a small town or suburb outside of Lafayette? We got you covered, too.

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
