Breezeline has different offers in different markets, but the promotional period is usually six, 12, or 24 months. Post-promo prices and the length of promo periods are listed in disclaimers and broadband nutrition labels—it’s worth your time to read the fine print.
Breezeline internet fees
Breezeline’s fees aren’t bad in the beginning because you can often get free Wi-Fi equipment for the first year. Installation is free whether you do it yourself or need a pro to come out, but you may have to pay $10 for shipping.
Keep an eye on your disclaimers, though. Free equipment promos often expire before service rate promotions expire, so your bill could jump up by $17.99 per month unexpectedly. You can get out of rental fees if you buy your own gateway (modem and router combo).
If you like the Breezeline gateway and its WiFi Your Way system but don’t get good signal in every corner of your home, you can add mesh extenders for $4.99 each per month.
There are some penalties to know about too. You’ll get charged an extra $10 monthly if you don’t agree to wireless billing and sign up for autopay with a bank account number. There’s also a $3 paper statement fee, as per the broadband labels.
In better news, there are no contracts or data caps on standard plans, so you don’t have to worry about overage fees or early termination fees.

You can get money off your bill by bundling, but the exact amounts vary based on where you live and when you order. Generally speaking, look for a monthly $5 discount on your internet bill when you add mobile service and another $5 off every month when you add TV service.

Breezeline TV fees
There’s only one hidden fee to worry about with Breezeline TV. It’s not high, but it is annoying because it feels unnecessary. In order to use the streaming TV service, you need to rent at least one Breezeline TV Stream set-top box for $5 per month. From there, you can log into the Breezeline app on a variety of mobile devices, third-party streaming services, or smart TVs.
But why not just let everyone log into the streaming service?

Breezeline offers two plans for low-income folks. The cheaper plan gets you only 15Mbps of download speed. It will be slower than most mobile phones and much slower than Breezeline’s standard plans, but it’s better than nothing.

Breezeline is a good deal for the first year or two, and that’s true for almost all customers. There aren’t a lot of fees to worry about, but you also won’t find many hidden tricks or tips that can improve your price.
Things get ugly after the first year or two, though (depending on the promo period offer where you live). Prices can more than double, and that internet gateway you were getting for free can start costing $17.99 per month.

My take on the best Breezeline deals

The best way to save with Breezeline is to sign up for the service and use it for the length of your promotional period (usually 12 or 24 months, depending on where you live). But then, after prices go up and you have to start paying for internet equipment rental, either call Breezeline to renegotiate pricing or find another provider.
The same goes for Breezeline mobile plans—take advantage of the $25 monthly savings on that first mobile line for a year, but pay attention when the price goes up and consider it your cue to shop for alternatives.
This might be tricky if you signed up for autopay and paperless billing, because you might not notice the funds leaving your account (if you’re anything like me, anyway). My advice is to set a calendar reminder to check your account monthly or at least once your promo period ends.
If negotiating doesn’t work, or if you don’t have any competing providers in the area, I recommend buying your own modem and router for internet service, using your own streaming devices, and choosing a 1GB or 10GB line for mobile service. Most people don’t need unlimited data if they have good Wi-Fi at home and at work, so save your pennies.
