Tacoma Residential Internet Coverage

Tacoma is one of the largest cities in Washington, and many internet service providers have expanded their networks to include this growing city.

Fiber internet is available through Centurylink Prism. Some of the western neighborhoods covered by this provider include West End and South Tacoma. The DSL network of CenturyLink covers all of Tacoma, expanding beyond the city limits to neighboring cities east and south of the city.

The same is true for Xfinity, which includes the entire city of Tacoma within its central Washington service area.

Through Megapath, those living in North End, Northeast Tacoma, New Tacoma, Eastside, and South End have access to DSL internet.

Local provider Click! Network serves all of Tacoma with its cable network, and it is building out a fiber network in this area as well. Coverage stops at the northern city limits, not crossing the Chambers Bay. However, coverage is available on some island to the west of Tacoma.

Somehow my internet wire cutoff from the outside pull. Therefore, of course, I lost the whole internet connection. I called CenturyLink and they said they can send someone the next day with 12 hours window. I had to request dayoff for this. Then no one never showed up and when I call, they said the local repair department just canceled my request without any notification. Now they can show up after a week. I am looking for new provider.

Literally the worst internet provider ever. They’ll overcharge you for your plan and give you no communication you’re receiving a bill that’s twice as much as what you were paying. Internet is constantly having connection issues. In and out all the time.

I wish I could quit my job and go on an active campaign to stop people from ever using Century Link. They ruined my credit because of an unreturned router charge that I found out about two months after I very painstakingly left. Contacting these people is like trying to pull teeth and they never follow through with their promises. They are lazy and uninterested in providing the customer with any sort of satisfaction. Every sentence they speak to you is punctuated with schemes to get you to pay money, even when you've disconnected. I left Comcast for this company which I thought would be an improvement but I actually ended up going back. Comcast is bad, but not nearly as bad as these guys. Wow
