While Ventura holds the 56th largest community in California, it still lacks a range of internet providers to choose amongst for residents here.
AT&T services most areas throughout Ventura, California, though may exclude certain communities near the Santa Clara River, Sexton Canyon Road and those closest to Casitas Springs. However, this only consists of a small number of the population, giving most communities access to its advertised 75 Mbps in download speeds.
Depending on location, residents have two options between cable internet. Those living in the northern and central neighborhoods of Ventura, spanning from La Conchita, west to communities in Ortonville and as south as Downtown Ventura. Charter Spectrum advertises download speeds up to 100 Mbps with upload speeds reaching up to 10 Mbps.
Residents living in southern Ventura have access to Time Warner Cable Spectrum, which offers even higher advertised download and upload speeds. Currently, most residents agree they receive up to 300 Mbps for downloading and 25 Mbps for uploading. Residents living as far north as Foothill Road have access to this service provider.
Lastly, most residents can receive satellite internet through HughesNet. This company offers download speeds up to 15 Mbps, with upload speeds only reaching upward of 2-to-3 Mbps.
