Worst customer service ever, all the time, anytime, constantly. Worst hardware ever always breaks down. Closed my account and was supposed to have access to my emails for 30 days, had to pay 40.00 to reactivate to get access to my emails. Most painful company I have ever had to do business with, in my life, for internet service. Switched to AT and T and they give money back guarantee on service now. Worth it!! Spectrum is impossible to get ahold of or hold accountable and never gives credits when their hardware or service goes down.

Started with a great introduction rate of $54.99 for about 2 years then went up to $74.99. I expected this and was fine with the new price. In the last month the rate increased across the board to $79.99. So a rate increase of $25 within 8 months of service. I called to see if there were any promotions and was told that they would give me the $54.99 rate for another 12 months. Great! Well, not so much. My next charge was for $79.99! I called to see what went wrong and was told that I was never offered the $54.99 rate, but I actually was offered a rate of $74.99 for 1 month and an upgrade to Ultra speeds which would make my next bill go up to around $94.99!!! I specifically told the agent I did NOT want an upgrade. I was lied to by both agents. Service goes down a lot and is not even reliable. I am having a new service installed this week.

Spectrum internet service is slightly more expensive than the completion but I was a creature of habit. That is changing today. This is the second time this month that I have lost internet service during a thunderstorm. This time I lost internet on Tuesday evening. The first “customer service” guy was snarky, the second very professional. The earliest the technician could come out was Thursday afternoon because they were treating this as an individual outage that effected only my home. Then I find out that a half dozen other homes, all sharing the neighbor box, also do not have service. When I spoke to a supervisor this morning ( Friday), I was assured that they were working as quickly as possible to restore my service. “Quickly” would have restored my service on Wednesday. To be left with “It should be sometime today (Friday)” Is poor.

See internet providers in nearby cities.

Live in a small town or suburb outside of Oviedo? We got you covered, too.

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
