Modesto Residential Internet Coverage

With a growing residential population and many successful businesses, the city of Modesto is expanding rapidly. Many local and national internet service providers give people in this city access to the high speeds they want.

National provider AT&T offers DSL and fiber internet to the people of Modesto. The DSL network reaches all of Modesto, from Maze Boulevard in the north to Grayson Road in the south.

The Frontier Communications network is a bit more limited, available exclusively west of Sisk Road. The network reaches the neighborhoods near Carpenter Road and Maze Boulevard, as well as central neighborhoods near Riverdale Park and Shackelford.

Through Xfinity, all of Modesto's neighborhoods have access to high-speed cable internet. Its competitor Charter is a major cable provider in this region, as well. Service starts south of Tuolumne Boulevard. The central area is not in the Charter service area, but coverage begins again north of Rumble Road.

New Edge Networks offers an expansive coverage area that reaches all of eastern Modesto, as well as a few small neighborhoods west of Sisk Road.

Horrible experience with being told different things from the agent on the app and the agent on the phone. Customer service at it's worse. Then tried to put me on hold for another 20 minutes in order to escalate my issue.

We have found it infuriating to get service on our internet service. The Tech person insisted on trying to solve the problem via phone call, which messed things up more and then we just received a bill for $100. We already paid an outside tech $100 to come in and fix it. Even the thought of having to call xfinity gives me an anxiety attack. We will be changing service soon.

Overall, My internet service is average at best for speed. At certain times of day there is the usual slow down of downloading times making it very frustrating for completing applications for work on Line.

When thinking internet we all want reliability and affordability. I have tried the different services in the area and reliability of AT&T DSL is five out of five until we get the bill and they have charged a fee for data that makes affordability of the service go out the window. The cable internet is oooohhhh so nice with Comcast .. affordability on the other hand is terrible .. with the Data era among us .. we need unlimited at a flat rate so we can use our desk tops again!! Seems like my phone is all I use anymore and sitting at my desk signed on to anything but my cell phone 4g is the way to go .. truest it's a flat rate . AT&T you get an A for speed but F for price .. Comcast gets AAA for cable internet and high speed but affordability .. D- the area doesn't seem to be price friendly so break the bank or head back to dial up ..
