Lakewood Residential Internet Coverage

When you settle down in the city of Lakewood, enjoy a wide variety of internet plans offered by local and national internet service providers.

For those who need constant high-speed access for work or entertainment, fiber internet is a popular option. Fiber internet is available through Frontier. Currently, fiber internet through this company reaches all of Lakewood. Service runs as far north as Bellflower Boulevard, as far south as Carson Street, as far west as Yearling Street, and as far east as Bloomfield Avenue.

Through AT&T, local residential and business customers choose from fiber internet and DSL. Fiber is fairly widespread through AT&T, but the DSL network is even larger. Service is accessible in northwestern Lakewood near Hedda Street and South Street, as well as the southeastern areas of Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard.

Cable customers can choose from several ISPs. One option is Time Warner Spectrum, which has a network that reaches the entirety of Lakewood. The same is true with Charter.

Reaching most of Lakewood with its expanding coverage map, New Edge Networks is a great choice for customers of varying needs. New Edge Networks offers service as far south as Palo Verde Avenue.

The absolute worst customer service I've ever contacted. I've been a customer for just under two years and its always the same Delete repeated word. Today, the call taker "Kyle" was condescending and rude and did nothing to resolved the service problems. When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he refused, stating "Why?" Get away from this company and do everything you can to not associate with this company for any reason. You will get trapped into a contract you cant get out of unless you are willing to buy your way out and pay early termination fees.

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
