The city of St. Charles is situated on the western edge of the Missouri River. A handful of internet service providers are available in this city, which lies just northwest of St. Louis.

CenturyLink, a dedicated DSL provider, provides coverage to almost all of St. Charles. Their fiber division, Centurylink Prism, covers part of central St. Charles, including Randolph Street, the City Center, and Lindenwold University. The western service area reaches South Fifth Street and Hackmann Estates. Service is available as far south as Kisker Road and Weldon Spring Heights.

Through AT&T, customers can get DSL from almost anywhere in St. Charles. The company's fiber network is starting to build out in St. Charles, so this service may be more widely available in coming years.

Internet drops causes our retail shop to resort to manual transactions & cash. During a busy period this can be disastrous. Customer service is terrible. Long waits to talk to reps who then can't solve the issues in a timely fashion. We have had to wait 2-3 days in the past to resolve internet issues. Though mostly reliable, the times they go down are bad because the customer service (boots on the ground) is terrible. So just beware. When things are running smoothly they are great. But when things go haywire it is very difficult to get good customer service or a tech out to your location.
