Marion Residential Internet Coverage

Marion is a blue-collar town with many pre-WWII structures and homes still in use. Residents tend to be lower-middle class and high school educated. They use their internet for entertainment, continued learning and career advancement. Every Marion resident has access to high-speed internet while only 88% of all Ohioans do.

Cable internet is available to all Marion residents through Time Warner and DSL is available to everyone through Frontier. The only other alternative to either of these is satellite internet from Hughesnet.

A few businesses in Marion have the added option of fiber optics from Level 3 Communications. As this technology becomes more affordable, it's likely to expand and eventually reach residential users as well.

Terrible lagging on tv stations sometimes blacks out or no sound for a minute. The price we have to pay for your tv and internet are outrageous we should at least get good service. with the prices, we should at least get cable boxes free instead of paying approx $25 for rental fee per box!! Many of elderly people can't afford internet service or even your cable service.

well my internet from frontier has been out for over 2 weeks I call them most every day . they are nice on the phone when I call but each time its a different reason why its out D-fam or data card , and still not fixed. thinking of going with time/warner .at this point I don't care why its broken , I just need it to work . I signed up when it was still Verizon , back in 2009. when frontier took over about two years ago they were ok .it almost seems like when they spun off from Verizon ,they still had good equipment , now they wont or cant fix anything.
