Spring Residential Internet Coverage

Just north of Houston, the suburban city of Spring is home to over 50,000 people. Several national internet providers have established networks in Spring, making it easy for businesses and residents to compare service plans.

One of the biggest providers in this city is AT&T. The AT&T DSL network is extremely large, covering the entirety of Spring from Champion Forest in the southwest to Legends Ranch in the northeast. AT&T also has a smaller fiber internet network that is gaining traction in the Spring area.

Those who prefer cable internet benefit from the services of Xfinity. The Xfinity network reaches from Gleannloch Farms in the west to Spring Trails in the east, covering all of the central neighborhoods as well.

Charter, another cable company in Spring, has a slightly smaller service area. While coverage is available in Spring Lakes, Devonshire Woods, Oaks of Devonshire, and Louetta Lakes, the service area is inaccessible south of Country Lake Estates.

They have raised my bill so high and I’ll call and discuss it, they bring it down and before contract is up they always raise it even higher. Also trying to get a real person to address your situation from billing, internet, tech support is almost impossible. Going to streaming when I figure it out.

THE. ABSOLUTE. WORST. ISP. IVE. EVER. ENCOUNTERED. Random outages multiple times per week, HORRIBLE customer service bc they want to make it impossible for you to speak to a human being. No price is worth the unreliability of frequent outages and throttled speeds. Absolutely terrible. Family switched from AT&T where we rarely had issues to XFinity for a slightly cheaper price and it’s the worst decision we’ve made considering how much we rely on the internet these days. I hope everyone can see this and avoid this level of anger and frustration.

The internet service is reliable and the technical help is good. However, any other issue with ATT such as clearing up a billing or account issue is a huge headache. One has to call them, and it is not clear whether they understand or care about your issue. There is no way to have your complaints or issues written down, and their responses written down to make sure these are well understood. Because of this, I am considering changing providers.

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
